Opening this thread as a place to suggest topics or guests you’d like to see me get on the show. I can’t guarantee I can do all suggestions, of course, but I want to know what you all like hearing. (And if there are topics you’re less enthusiastic about, too, let me know.)
Right now, upcoming as f the time I’m writing this, I recorded an episode this week with Jonathan Blanks about the blindspot a lot of libertarians have for oppressed marginalized groups, and what it means to actually commit to believing everyone is created equal and deserves to be treated that way. That’ll be the next episode release.
After that, I have recordings scheduled with Mike Masnick of Techdirt. He’s one of the most important voices in tech policy, and is also on the Bluesky board of directors.
Then I’m recording with political scientist and economist Mark Pennington about is fantastic soon-to-be-released book Foucault and Liberal Political Economy: Power, Knowledge, and Freedom. I got my hands on an advance copy and absolutely love it. This is the book I’ve been hoping someone would write, asking liberals and libertarians to take onboard some postmodern and poststructuralist insights about identity and power.
